Sage needs rocky areas to grow in order to achieve a special pleasing mellowness. Our sage is grown along the Yugoslavian coast. The flavor is pungent and the aroma is powerful, yet fragrant—and never harsh. Sage makes a nice addition to pork, meats, and stuffing. It can also perk up tomato soup.
