Frozen yogurt is growing in popularity—it’s often enjoyed as a summertime treat, and it makes a great dessert any time of year.
Frozen yogurt tastes much like ice cream. Many people prefer it to ice cream because it is often lower in fat and calories; however, be sure to read the label carefully because this is not always the case.
Many kinds of frozen yogurts are available, including fat-free and reduced-fat varieties. The basic flavors are vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, but many more flavors are available, too. It can be bought “soft-serve” in frozen dessert shops and ice-cream parlors.
