This spicy sauce is versatile: pair it with fish, ice cream, crepes, homemade muffins—the list goes on!

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon stevia
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ cup water
  • Dash of salt

Combine cornstarch, lemon juice, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small sauce pan, heat set to medium-high. Gradually add water and stir until the mixture thickens and begins to boil. Add blueberries and stir until the sauce reaches a gentle boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.

Let cool and serve.

Makes about 2 cups.
