Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is great for my skin It's called Pine Tar not PineSol. I don't know what people are expecting, yes it smells like an extinguished camp fire in the box. It's less in the shower, less on your body, and doesn't linger at all on my skin. I have to wonder about the diets of those who complained about it. It certainly makes my skin softer and moisture remains most of the day. I haven't used shampoo in 10 years and found this works great about every 3-4 days (otherwise you strip the natural oils). I got good hair, I get asked all the time what I use. Not only recommend it to friends; if someone is serious about trying it and understands what Pine TAR actually is I'll give them their first bar, only heard good things back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Strong smell I read some of the reviews about this pine tar soap and thought people just weren't familiar with, or didn't like the smell of pine tar. This stuff smells like my wood stove flue. Grandpa brand and Packer's pine tar soap have a very nice piney solvent smell, but this stuff is like creosote. It lathers nice and cleans good, but I won't be purchasing any more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Soap Yes, it does have a natural smell to it, but it's without a doubt a much better choice than the chemically composed "soaps" of the national brands. Once you get used to the smell, which doesn't take much of an effort, you'll love it, especially if you have sensitive skin. It leaves your skin squeaky clean, soft and moisturized.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from False Advertising!!! I don't know what the exact chemistry is here but I guarantee there's some pig fat in it! Absolutely horrible on first uses and be sure not to try to adapt it...with the cracklin' and all!! Totally Misleading Product!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just like Brand G I ordered this because it was much cheaper than Brand G's pine tar soap. The PP pine tar soap smells, feels, looks, and tastes just like Brand G. The only thing I noticed was that it smells strong in the box, but in the shower it isn't as strong smelling. That nice campfire pine tar smell doesn't stay as long on me as Brand G does, but that is a good thing according to my spouse who says this stuff smells like a dumpster fire.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I dont know how to feel about this I just received the soap a couple of days ago and tried it. I do not have ANY experience with Pine Tar Soap, so this was a new experience. The smell. How to describe it. Def. lots of Tar. Couldn't detect the Pine. It smells like someone is burning tires in the backyard. That being said, the smell doesn't linger on your skin after your shower. It creates a nice lather and it was very gentle and didn't dry out my skin. You smell and feel clean after using it. I just don't know if I d would purchase it again, after i m finished with it.
