From the Manufacturer's Label:
Cruciferous vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.) are uniquely abundant in a sulfur-containing compound called Indole-3-Carbinol (I3C). In the acidic stomach environment, I3C is converted into derivative compounds shown to neutralize free radicals and support healthy cell cycle regulation.* DIM (diindolemethane) is a well-known I3C derivative. Although I3C is normally very unstable, NOW® Indole-3-Carbinol is packaged and laboratory tested to ensure potency during its shelf life.*
